Damaged power lines due to high winds
MARQUETTE COUNTY — Marquette County experienced high winds today that left damage in its wake.
The wind gusts have caused more than half a dozen incidents throughout the county in areas such as, Marquette and Sands Township. One reported incident happened at 236 Midway Dr. in Negaunee, where the power lines were damaged by fallen tree branches.
The damage created a power outage throughout the block. Repairs at Midway Rd. have no exact deadline for when they will be completed. The Marquette Board of Light and Power is in the process of restoring power.
