NEGAUNEE — If you missed any of the recent adoption events at the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter, there’s no need to fret – there is another one this Wednesday at Fox Marquette.

On December 13th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., all adoption fees will be waived. UPAWS received a grant through the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and Subaru’s “Share the Love” promotion to pay the fees.

“We’re very excited and happy to have this. We’re very honored to be part of this promotion with Subaru and the ASPCA and we love our partnership with Fox Marquette,” said UPAWS Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator Ann Brownell. “They’re just great, and we’ve been working with them for years and years and they’re just like family.”

UPAWS will bring as many animals as they can to Fox Marquette for people to adopt. If the furry friend you want to take home is in foster care or was left at the shelter, you can stop by Fox Marquette to receive a coupon that will waive the adoption fee. The coupon is only valid during the time of the event.
