CHAMPION — The Greater Ishpeming–Negaunee Chamber of Commerce is hosting the perfect event to get everyone out enjoying the winter weather on Saturday, February 22.
The 4th annual West End Winter Wonderland will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wawonowin Country Club.
Attendees can showshoe, hike, or bike along the groomed trails, and enjoy appetizers, activities, and demos from local businesses, all while raising funds for the chamber.
“When you get a day that’s over 30 degrees and not blustery and blowing, it’s really fun to be outside and enjoy the snow,” said GINCC Executive Director Bob Hendrickson. “It’s also for interacting with the chamber and businesses that will be out there. They’ll be having different appetizers and doing some different activities. We’ll have activities inside the clubhouse, and the Great Lakes Girl Scouts will be in there also. So we’ll have a lot of variety, and it’s just a fun community event to come out and enjoy.”
The GINCC hopes that the community will bring their snowshoes and other equipment to enjoy an evening of fun and food. Registration opens at 3:30 p.m. Pricing information and additional details can be found here.
