GLADSTONE — Another local athlete has signed to a college to keep their careers going at the next level, and this time, it comes from an athlete that feels at home on the diamond.

Gladstone’s Carson Shea has officially signed to continue playing baseball at Bay College after he graduates this spring.

Shea has played pitcher, short stop, and third base during his career playing for the Braves, and plans to study speech therapy at Bay College, which he chose because it felt like a good fit.

“I picked Bay because it’s close to home and I’m kind of a stay at home guy. And I always knew about it and once they got the baseball program I knew it was kind of a good fit for me” said Senior, Carson Shea.

And when he was asked what he’ll miss the most about his Gladstone days, here’s what he had to say.

“Definitely the atmosphere, there’s nothing like Gladstone baseball, that’s for sure. We always were competitive and made a lot of good runs, and it was just a special place, that’s for sure” said Shea.

Good luck to Carson at the next level, and we’ll be sure to follow your career as it continues.
