2020 Virtual Celebration of NTN Trails event begins June 25
MARQUETTE — Outdoor enthusiasts are gearing up for the Virtual Celebration of NTN Trails event June 25-28.
The 2020 Marquette Trails Festival has been postponed until October. However, Race Director Nic Dobbs says he and other organizers still wanted to provide something for those anticipating the festival this summer.
The event draws in a large group of participants each year, many traveling to the area just for the festival. Dobbs says this Virtual Celebration is the perfect solution.
“We came up with different things that go along with the Trails Festival in general so that people can get out, do on their own, and also help donate some money to the trails,” said Dobbs. “We realize that we still may have some out-of-towners that had planned to be up here this weekend and, even though the race isn’t going on, they may be coming up this weekend regardless. So this is also a way for them now to get out and kind of take part in a mock Trails Festival for right now. And then everybody can come join us when we have the rescheduled event, which is October 2-4.”
Participants can keep track of their activities, email staff members when they’ve completed them, and share what they’re doing on social media using #MTFvirtual2020. Registration is $15. To learn more about the event, click here.
