Finlandia Stabbing Going to Trial
The Laurium man accused of the Finlandia University dorm room stabbing is heading to trial.
27-year-old Enrick St. Louis will go to trial January 13th.
He’s accused of assault with intent to cause great bodily harm less than murder.
The attack is said to have happened 6 months ago in a dorm room at Finlandia Hall.
St. Louis is accused of stabbing Finlandia student John Gokee several times in the chest and slashing the finger of another student who tried to intervene.
During the preliminary exam, Gokee said St. Louis approached him during an argument and that Gokee shoved him.
St. Louis is accused of pulling out the knife right after the shoving.
He could face up to 10 years in prison if he’s convicted.
