MARQUETTE – The Marquette Electrician’s Midget AAA hockey team announced that Head Coach Jim Jackson won’t return as head coach for the 2014-15 season. Jim Jackson will still be in the organization but in a different capacity.
According to a release issued by Marquette Junior Hockey Corp., Jackson said with his work schedule he can’t fully commit next season as head coach, but still plans on helping the team in a less demanding role.
Jackson took over the Electricians in 2013-14 from Mark Nebel. The Electrician’s finished the year 2-44-3. According to Marquette Electricians Chairman Brad Sullivan a search would begin immediately to find a new head coach, and tryout/summer skate information will be announced shortly.
