O’Donnell adds another U.P. basketball player

Hancock, MI – Finlandia University men’s basketball coach Mike O’Donnell has announced that Jordan LaPlant has committed to finish up his education and basketball career at Finlandia University starting in the fall.
LaPlant, a 6’3″ guard, comes to Finlandia after playing the last two seasons for Gogebic Community College. As a Samson, Jordan made 134 3-point fiedl goals in 2 seasons. This past season he helped lead the team to a 20 win season and led them in scoring with 14.3 points per game.
Jordan played his high school basketball at Ewen-Trout Creek High School where he was a member of the 2012 All-UP Dream Team.
“We are very pleased Jordan has chosen to continue his collegiate career at Finlandia after two very successful years with Gogebic,” said Coach O’Donnell. “In Jordan we gain a proven scorer at the collegiate level. He will come in right away and provide experience and leadership for our program, which is a great benefit for us.”
