Woman ticketed in Marquette Co. traffic crash

One driver was ticketed and another person was injured following a traffic crash Sunday morning in Marquette County.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post of the Michigan State Police responded to the crash on US–41 just west of M–95 in Humboldt Township shortly after 11 a.m.

According to police, 19–year–old Taylor Dillinger of Chassell was driving westbound in a 2004 Dodge Stratus when she became temporarily distracted and crossed into the shoulder, striking a flatbed trailer that was carrying wood.

The trailer, which was parked on the shoulder due to a flat tie, was not yet attached to the towing vehicle at the time of the crash.

Dillinger was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Her passenger, 18–year–old Cody Goodreau of L’Anse, was taken to Marquette General Hospital by Bell EMS where he was treated for his injuries. Dillinger was cited for careless driving.
