Salvation Army giving Coats to kids

This is a busy time of year for Salvation Army organizations across the U.S. The same is true of the Hancock location. They are wrapping up the annual Coats for Kids campaign.

This year some area schools have asked that the coats be distributed earlier than the Christmas season because there are many children in need. With our inclement winters having proper gear is mandatory.
But, it’s not the only program the Salvation Army is leading. This year the Hancock branch is offering an After School Club on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. It aims to take some of the burden off parents who need some place to watch their children outside school hours.
In addition, you can expect to see bell ringers out soon. The Hancock Salvation Army is looking for both volunteers and paid workers.
