Three vehicle crash in Marquette Township
MARQUETTE — On Monday, May 27th at 12:44 pm, Marquette Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a three-vehicle crash on US-41 near Northwoods Drive, in Marquette Township.
A 2015 Chevrolet 4-door, driven by 93-year-old Shirley Evelyn Ford of Negaunee, attempted to turn left onto US-41 Eastbound, when she sideswiped a Lincoln, driven by 78-year-old Mary Ann Carriere of Marquette. Ford then went head-on into a Ford pickup truck operated by 41-year-old Melissa Anne Salminen of Marquette.
Ford was cited to Failure to Yield the Right of Way. Ford sought medical attention under her own power. Salminen was transported by Marquette Township EMS to UPHS Marquette, while Carriere was uninjured.
Michigan State Police Marquette Township and Marquette Township Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
