Munising Police patrol car found at fault in 2-vehicle accident
MUNISING — On May 1st, at approximately 4:45 pm, troopers from the MSP Negaunee post responded to a 2-vehicle crash, one of the vehicles being a Munising Police Department patrol car.
The Munising PD patrol car was westbound on West Munising Avenue, when it attempted a U-turn, and drove into the path of a 2015 Chrysler minivan, operated by a 52-year-old man from Walled Lake.
Both vehicles sustained damage, and the operator of the minivan received minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and names are currently being withheld.
The Alger County Sheriff’s Department and Alger County Med 1 assisted at the scene.
