ISHPEMING — The Range Area Mountain Biking Association is set to open up another trailhead this weekend. The new trailhead is by the intersection of Malton and Division, right next to the Heritage Trail. No new trailhead is complete without a ribbon cutting ceremony and an inaugural ride.

“We’re going have a bike ride, it’s going be an all–inclusive group ride, we’ll have groups for all levels of Bike Riders, ” said R.A.M.B.A President Danny Hill. “Starting at 2 o’clock we’ll have the formal ribbon cutting, and then around 3 o’clock we’ll be raffling off a brand new Giant Trance Bike to one lucky winner.”

The new trailhead falls right in the middle of the RAMBA system, and is expected to improve rider numbers.

“We’ve been searching for many years for a central location that has easy access to our trails without having to negotiate going through towns,” said Hill.

The Ceremony was scheduled for Saturday, but inclement weather has moved the event to Sunday, where it will begin at noon.
