U.P. Figure Skating Team wins another state title

ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH. — It was an exciting weekend of sports for more than just the North Central Jets boy’s basketball team.

UP Power was also on full display in Rochester Hills at the State of Michigan Individual Ice Skating Championships. The Marquette Senior High School Figure Skating Team won the championship for the second year in a row.

The girls finished in first place in moves and second place in jumps to win back-to-back crowns. Marquette scored 115 points, beating second place Plymouth Canton by 36 points.

Thirty-five teams competed in the tournament. Congrats to the Marquette girls on back-to-back state championships.
