Huskies Football Debuts at 22 in D2 Poll

HOUGHTON, Mich. — Michigan Tech football earned its first national ranking this week from the D2Football.com poll. The Huskies debut at No. 22 in the poll.

Tech defeated Wayne State 20-15 last Thursday (Sept. 3) in its 2015 season opener. The Black and Gold have won 12 of their last 13 GLIAC games dating back to the end of the 2013 campaign.

The GLIAC has four teams in the D2Football.com top 25 including No. 4 Ferris State, No. 5 Ohio Dominican, No. 21 Grand Valley State and the No. 22 Huskies.

Michigan Tech will host Malone this Saturday (Sept. 12) for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Sherman Field.
