At approximately 12:45 am on Wednesday July 4th, Troopers from the Calumet Post conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 Plymouth Neon for loud exhaust on M-26 near Pepin Road. While contacting the driver, 21 year-old Joshua Beaudoin from Calumet, Trooper could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Further investigation of the vehicle and occupants revealed several items used in the sale and delivery of marijuana including a scale and scissors. Several individual bags of marijuana and a large amount of prescription pills were also seized.

Beaudoin was arrested and lodged in the Houghton County Jail. He was arraigned in 97th District Court Thursday on a charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Possession with Intent to Deliver Prescription Drugs. His bond was set at 10% of $10,000.
