U.P. Connection to Physician’s Assistants Group
A round of appointments to a state governing board has a U.P. connection.
Governor Rick Snyder appointed five people earlier today to the Michigan Task Force on Physician’s Assistants.
One of those five people is an attorney from Iron River.
Sara Basso specializes in arbitration and mediation as well as public policy and regulatory areas.
She will represent the general public within the group.
The task force regulates physician’s assistants in Michigan.
It also provides a system to determine the professional qualifications of physician’s assistants.
Basso and the four other new members of the task force will serve on it through the end of 2015.
The task force is subject to the advice and consent of the Michigan Senate.
