New sports bar provides U.P. atmosphere
HARRIS — Sports fans in Delta and Menominee County have a brand new place to socialize and enjoy some food while they catch the game.
T. McC’s Sports Bar at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris opened its doors Friday. Excited visitors got to hear from officials about the bar’s construction and design, which includes decor showing off the accomplishments of U.P. sports teams.
“People don’t really realize we only have three percent of the state’s population, yet we have a disproportionately high number of State Championships,” said General Manager Tony Mancilla. “So our sports bar honors those.”
Mancilla said they wanted to create the best sports bar they could for a sports–oriented community. The bar adds another feature to the already plentiful resort attractions.
“I honestly think that it’s the whole package,” added Mancilla. “We have a resort that, you know, we got a golf course, we got a hotel, we’ve got the resort itself. This is an upscale amenity to that resort. I mean, if you’re a sports fan, you need to come see this.”
T. McC’s has a unique video wall to show a variety of games to customers enjoying the cuisine and U.P. atmosphere.
