Marquette Township Murder
Authorities are investigating the murder of an Ishpeming man in Marquette Township.
The victim is 27-year-old Robert Dusseau of Ishpeming.
He owned the Quik Cash & Gun pawn shop on US-41.
Police found Dusseau’s vehicle at about 11 last night at a nearby apartment complex.
His body was found outside the shop at about 12:30 this morning.
State Police detectives from the Negaunee Post are investigating.
They believe the murder took place late yesterday afternoon.
State Police 8th District Commander, Capt. Myles McCormack, says they also believe it happened at the shop.
He says they have several quality leads they’re following, and based on what they know, he doesn’t believe anyone in the surrounding area has to fear for their safety.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the county Sheriff’s Department and the State Police Forensic Lab are helping the investigation.
