Bundle up for Escanaba Christmas Parade

The Escanaba Department of Public Safety is warning anyone who is planning on attending this evening’s Christmas parade to be mindful of the conditions outside.

Temperatures are expected to hover around the 12 degree mark, but when combined with a 13 mph wind from the west it will feel more like -8 degrees. In order to prevent any possible health risks, officials are asking parade-goers to bundle up for the prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions.

Anyone participating in the festivities should be prepared to lineup at 6 p.m. outside the civic center. The parade itself will begin on Ludington Street at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is “Songs of Christmas.”
