Red Wings recall former NMU goalie
Former Northern Michigan University goaltender Jared Coreau is back with the Detroit Red Wings.
Coreau was recalled by the Wings on Tuesday, to fill in for backup goalie Jonas Gustavsson, who is still recovering from a strained neck he suffered last week.
Coreau has spent his first season in the professional ranks playing for both the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Toledo Walleye. Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek was sent back to the Grand Rapids Griffins, the Red Wings AHL affiliate, to make room for Coreau.
