Mackinac County arson suspect found

A possible suspect in a Mackinac County arson case has been located by Michigan State Police.

Troopers from the St. Ignace Post believe they have found the man responsible for starting a fire on the 5000 block of Mackinac Trail in St. Ignace this past weekend. Authorities were called to the residence late Sunday night into the early hours of Monday morning. Arson investigators at the scene say the nature of the fire leads them to believe that it may be linked to a few other arson cases in Emmet County which also took place over the weekend.

The investigation into the string of arson cases and the suspects’ involvement continues. ABC 10 will have updates on the situation as they are released.
