Marquette Co. man arrested following rollover accident
One man was arrested following a rollover accident in Marquette County Friday morning. The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says it happened shortly after midnight on County Road 550 near Harlow Lake.
The Sheriff’s Office says a 23-year-old Ishpeming man was driving north in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he lost control of the vehicle. The Jeep left the roadway and rolled onto its roof. The driver was treated at the scene for minor cuts.
After further investigation, authorities determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired and is lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
The driver’s name is being withheld pending arraignment. Marquette General Hospital EMS and Marquette Township Fire department assisted at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
