Arrest made in Huron Mountian Bakery break-in
The Ishpeming Police have arrested 30-year-old Charles Raymond Elveteci of Negaunee for breaking and entering Huron Mountain Bakery on March 7th.
The Ishpeming Police were called to the bakery on the morning of March 8th when it was discovered that the bakery had been broken into and a money box was taken. A surveillance system in the bakery had captured a video of the break in which had occurred March 7th shorty before 9:00 p.m.
On March 9th, the Ishpeming Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Negaunee, where possible evidence of the break in was seized.
On April 22nd, after a six week investigation, the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office reviewed the case and authorized a warrant for Elveteci. He is charged with one count of Breaking and Entering a Building with Intent. This is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Elveteci was arrested on the warrant April 22nd at the Marquette County Jail where he is being held on an unrelated matter.
Elveteci was arraigned yesterday in the 96th District Court and bond was set at $2,500. A preliminary examination in this case is scheduled for May 6th at 3:15 p.m.
