NMU Hockey team ready for Miami
What a difference a healthy lineup makes. The Northern Michigan University hockey team had everyone healthy last weekend at St. Cloud State for the first time since the season began in October.
The “injury free” Wildcats swept the Western Collegiate Hockey Association leading Huskies with a 6-2 win on Friday and a 2-1 win on Saturday.
NMU returns home to the Berry Events center this weekend to face the Miami RedHawks. The Wildcats played against the RedHawks in Oxford back in November, earning just one point in two conference games against the RedHawks.
The Wildcats will play at home three of the next four weekends. With momentum gained from their road sweep of the Huskies, NMU knows they must continue that momentum in their own barn starting on Friday night.
NMU and Miami will drop the puck on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm. The RedHawks are currently tied with Notre Dame for first place in the CCHA standings with 30 points.
