Harvey bank robber sentenced
The downstate man accused of robbing a Marquette County bank last fall has been sentenced.
Justin McLean was sentenced in U–S District Court in Marquette today to 105 months in prison. He will also have three years of supervised release.
Mclean admitted in May to robbing the Harvey branch of Northern Michigan Bank and Trust last October. Surveillance video from the bank shows the Cheboygan man brandishing a handgun and demanding money. He told the court it was a pellet gun.
After the robbery, he drove with his wife and toddler to Gillette, Wyoming. He was picked up days later on a traffic violation and extradited to Michigan.
Mclean still has charges pending in state court from suspected criminal activity in Cheboygan County.
