Honor Flight Mission Two
Veterans from across the U.P. are gathering tonight in Escanaba.
They’re preparing for a one–day trip to the nation’s capital tomorrow.
Mission two for the U.P. Honor Flight is heading to Washington, DC in the morning.
Seventy-nine World War II veterans will fly to Washington for the day.
The group is gathering tonight for a pre–flight meet-and-greet at the Peninsula Bay Inn in Escanaba.
The flight leaves for the capital at 6:30 tomorrow morning.
They’ll visit the World War II Memorial and other sites, they’ll lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider and they’ll be back in Escanaba tomorrow night.
