Youth From Around the State Joined the Civil Air Patrol this Week

They say there’s nothing like flying a plane.

Youth from around the state joined the Civil Air Patrol in Hanger 2 at Houghton County Memorial Airport this week.

The kids came together as a part of Michigan Tech’s Summer Program.

The instructors covered a broad range of topics.

Civil Air Patrol is the longtime auxiliary of the United States’ Air Force.

The organization plays a leading role in stem and aerospace education, and its members serve as mentors to about 25,000 young people participating in Cap’s Cadet Programs nationwide.
