First Ever BotEco Blanket Bash

MARQUETTE. Mich. – Friends of Ore Dock BotEco center is hosting their first ever blanket bash.

The center is teaming up with the Salvation Army to hand out blankets to those in the community that need help staying warm at night.

Gisele Deuehring, BotEco Representative says, “If you can put your coat on before you get cold, that’s a lot better than putting it on after you get cold. Once you have gotten that chill, it’s hard to stay warm. It is the same thing if you have been cold all night, your muscles are going to be tight and you are just not going to get the rest that you need.”

The drive has several drop–off points Monday through Friday at Travel Marquette, GEI consultants and the Pasta Shop during the month of November.

Residents can either donate toddles-to queen-size blankets in their original packaging, or to donate on their website, click here.
