BARAGA COUNTY — On Wednesday, May 3rd, Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) detectives arrested three people involved in a conspiracy to sell morphine in Baraga County.

After a year-long investigation, UPSET Detectives obtained arrest warrants for a 29-year-old male, a 58-year-old male, and a 26-year-old female from Baraga County for Multiple counts of delivery of morphine. Investigation revealed that the dealers were involved in selling morphine in Baraga County and within the Keweenaw Bay Tribal Community.

All three suspects were arrested and lodged at the Baraga County Jail. Names of the subjects are being withheld pending arraignment in 97th District Court.

UPSET was assisted by the Baraga County Sheriff’s Department, Keweenaw Bay Tribal Police, and the Michigan State Police Calumet Post.
