LSCP board members re-sign Articles of Incorporation for 20th anniversary

MARQUETTE — The Lake Superior Community Partnership will celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2018 and they are hosting several events to commemorate two decades of serving the community.

Tuesday’s event brought back the founding board members to recreate the signing of the Articles of Incorporation. Past and present board members, LSCP staff, Mayor Tom Baldini and State Representative Scott Dianda enjoyed coffee and cookies and reminisced about how far the partnership has grown since its inception.

“When you celebrate 20 years of service to the community, you have to remember that so many people in those 20 years pitched in and made a difference,” said CEO of the Lake Superior Community Partnership Amy Clickner. “It’s not about me, it’s not about the staff that’s here today, it’s about collectively what has been done since those folks put their names on those Articles of Incorporation.”

The Lake Superior Community Partnership promotes economic growth and workforce development in the Marquette area. The partnership is also celebrating near-completion of almost one billion dollars of construction work in the county.
