‘Sick Air Show’ by U.P. native stuns halftime audience

FELCH — If you happened to be at the Munising versus North Dickinson football game Friday night, the fans were treated to more than just a great high school gridiron contest.

Scott Murray entertained the crowd at halftime with his ‘Sick Air Show.’ For the last thirteen years, Murray has been a professional freestyle Motocross athlete.
He’s been all over the world doing what he loves, which is entertaining the masses on his bike.

“I always wanted to be a Motocross racer. I always wanted to chase after riding dirt bikes. It felt like it was my calling,” said Murray. “I chased after that for a bit and I just couldn’t quite make it in the racing scene, so I switched over to freestyle cross. I seized the opportunity and it’s brought me all over the world.”

Murray is from the Upper Peninsula.

He graduated from North Dickinson in 1995.
