Wunder named to the Dream Team

ESCANABA — Escanaba hockey star Levi Wunder received another award as he was named to the Michigan High School Hockey Dream Team.

Last week, Wunder was named Warrior Player of the Year by the State Champs Sports Network. He finished the season with 46 goals and 46 assists. The selections were made by the Michigan High School Coaches Association, irregardless of what division they play in.

The Dream Team goaltender is Cullen Barber from Livonia Stephenson. The defensemen are Andrew Froese of Traverse City Central and Brandon Young of Muskegon Reeths Puffer. And joining Wunder for the forwards were Marshall Bowery of Rochester United and Austin Alger of Cranbrook. Alger was named Mr. Hockey as the state’s best player.

Alger came in second place for the Warrior Player of the Year that Levi Wunder got last week and this season, Wunder had 28 more points than Alger did.
