Marquette holds on for win vs. Negaunee
MARQUETTE, Mich. – The much anticipated rivalry matchup lived up to its billing Thursday night. The Marquette boys varsity basketball team held on for the narrow 42-40 win against Negaunee. Marquette forward Vejas Grazulis led all scorers with 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Redmen (2-0). In other basketball action, Lake Linden-Hubeell’s Tyler Roose 22 points, eclipsing the 1,000 point total in his career. Dollar Bay freshman Devin Schmitz had 31 points in the Bays’ victory over Ontonagon.
