Volleyball: Gwinn wins at Westwood
WEST ISHPEMING – The Westwood Patriots varsity volleyball team wanted to finish out the regular season with a win at home, but their visitors from Gwinn had other ideas.
The Modeltowners rallied from a 10-4 deficit in the opening set to win it, 25-22. Gwinn then went on to win the match in three sets. The Modeltowners play at Negaunee against the Miners in a Class ‘C’ District semifinal on Monday. Westwood heads to Norway to play West Iron County on Monday in another Class ‘C’ District semifinal.
