The Michigan Tech Huskies hockey team will begin the WCHA playoffs on the road at Bowling Green. The Huskies were 2–1-1 this season against the Falcons. Both of Tech’s victories came at Bowling Green back in late January.

“There’s not going to be any secrets for us or them, so we know each other fairly well,” said Huskies head coach Mel Pearson. “I think it’s going to be a hard fought series and I could see the series going three games. Whoever wins that series is going to have to earn it.”

“The guys are excited. There is a lot of energy in the locker room right now,” said Tech forward Blake Pietila.

Game one of the best of three series drops the puck Friday at 7:07 p.m. Northern Michigan takes on Minnesota State in Mankato, MN on Friday, beginning at 8:07 p.m. eastern.
