The NCAA Football Division III National Championship game between #5 Wisconsin-Whitewater and #1 Mount Union was dominated by the Warhawks on Friday night. Wisconsin-Whitewater came away with the 52-14 win over Mount Union.
Former Norway High School standout Brady Grayvold is a cornerback for the Warhawks. With his team leading 45-14 late in the fourth quarter, Grayvold intercepted a pass and returned it for a 37-yard touchdown. It was Grayvold’s ninth interception of the year and the second interception that Grayvold has returned for a touchdown this season.
Grayvold and the Warhawks defense held Mount Union to 32 yards rushing on 27 carries. With the win at the ‘Stagg Bowl’, the Warhawks captured their fourth championship in the last five years.
