WCHA commissioner to retire

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association will have a new commissioner when the 2014-15 season begins in October. Bruce McLeod, the current commissioner of the WCHA, has announced that he will retire on June 30, 2014.

McLeod has been the commissioner of the WCHA for more than twenty years. He has worked in college hockey for more than 49 years.McLeod began his tenure as WCHA commissioner at the beginning of the 1994-95 season.

“The opportunity to get to know and to work alongside so many outstanding coaches and administrators, to become acquainted with so many marvelous student-athletes, and watch our sport grow and prosper has been a blessing. I will forever be a fan,” said McLeod.
