The names of the two Alger County teenagers arrested in an attempted break–in over the weekend have been released.
Ruben Sifuentes, 18, of Munising, and Brandon Monroe, 17, of Shingleton have been arraigned in 93rd District Court in Alger County. Sifuentes and Monroe are charged with Breaking and Entering. They are both being held in the Alger County Jail.
The two were arrested after an attempted break–in at the Oasis gas station in Shingleton Sunday morning.
Michigan State Police from the Munising Detachment say the owner of the business found the suspects at the cash register.
He kicked one of the suspects to the floor, and threatened both of them with an assault rifle, ordering them to leave. Police say the pair did leave.
The owner recognized one of the burglars, and police were able to identify the other one.
