‘No contest’ plea in school assault case
One of two students from Ewen–Trout Creek Schools charged with criminal sexual conduct was arraigned in Ontonagon County District Court today.
17–year–old Travis Bonin pled no contest to Simple Assault. A sentencing date has not been set.
He and 17–year–old Cole Waschler were originally charged with 4th degree CSC involving a younger student.
Ewen–Trout Creek school personnel contacted police on March 15 about a reported CSC activity that occurred on school property.
Waschler will be in court on April 12.
