Tourism Tuesday: National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame

Winter weather is the furthest thing on most minds as we roll into the summer months.
But as we plan summer vacations, one winter sports museum is a “must see” along the way.
in our summer Tourism Tuesday series, we looks at a Marquette County attraction that garners national attention.

The National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in Ishpeming may not be the first destination you think of when you plan your summer vacation.
There isn’t any snow on the ground, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good time to learn about the sports.

The hall of fame is also a great way to get the younger crowds or anyone who doesn’t ski into the sport.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame is open Monday through Saturday year round from 10 am to 5 pm.
and, it’s a bargain: admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
