Boating Safety Course

It may not look like it outside right now; but its time to start preparing for the Summer boating season.

And the united states coast guard auxiliary wants to help you freshen up your skills.

For more than two decades the auxiliary has been offering a boating course to area residents.

Each year the 13 week course starts in January so that participants are just finishing up when the official boating season begins.

It is not a requirement that Michigan boaters take a safety course.

But even the most avid boater can learn something from the class.

The course begins this Thursday at 7 P–M at the Superior Dome.

If you can’t make this weeks class you can still join through next week.
