New Information in Gwinn Meth Lab Explosion

The round–up has started in connection with an explosion at a meth lab in Marquette County.

43-year-old Bryan Howe of Marquette is in intensive care at the University of Michigan Burn Center in Ann Arbor.

He’s in a medically-induced coma with burns to 60% of his body.

Howe was injured when a meth lab at a house on Elm Street in Gwinn exploded last week.

Forsyth Township Police Chief Tim Rector says four warrants were authorized in the case, including against 38-year-old Aaron Armatti.

Armatti is in the Marquette County Jail charged with operating and maintaining a lab with methamphetamine.

The felony charge carries a 20 year prison term if convicted.

Warrants have also been issued for 37-year-old Richard Hill and 33-year-old Bridget Black.

An investigation into the incident is continuing by the Forsyth Township Police Department and assistance from the Marquette Police Department, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and the Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post.
