With the presidential election just 4 weeks away, local volunteers are doing all they can to get residents registered to vote.
Today is the last day in Michigan to register to vote if you want to be able to vote next month.
Because of that, local campaign center volunteers were out spreading the message on the importance of voting.
Staffers at Marquette County’s Democratic headquarters say they registered more than 300 voters today alone, and nearly a thousand in all, on the NMU campus.
County Republican staffers say they don’t have exact figures, but they do say they saw a constant flow of people coming in and out of the office looking to register.
Election day is November 4th.
