Searchable Website on MI State Spending?

Many Democrats, including Governor Jennifer Granholm, have resisted the idea.

Dissenters argue that the information is already available through the Department of Management and Budget’s website.

Several downstate school districts have already put their financials online.

The Mackinac Center for Public Police is trying to persuade all of the state’s 551 public school districts to put their check registers online.
