NMU’s Hafner earns weekly GLIAC award

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Sophomore forward Paula Hafner was named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week after the Wildcats won a pair of conference games this weekend. She recorded a total of seven points in 4-0 victories over Malone and Lake Erie.

Hafner scored three goals over the weekend, including both game-winners on the road, and assisted on another to lead the Wildcats to their first two wins in league play. Hafner leads NMU with eight goals this season and has already matched her goal output from last year. Hafner is ranked second in the league in goals scored and is third in total points (19).

The Wildcats will play of pair of home games this weekend when they host Tiffin Friday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. and Findlay Saturday, Oct. 19 at noon.
