If you have a smartphone, i–pad or other mobile device, M-DOT wants to make it easier for you to get traffic information before getting behind the wheel. M–DOT has introduced a mobile version of its ‘MI drive’ website.
The site provides a wealth of information on Michigan highways, like detours and construction projects. M–DOT created the MI Drive site back in 2007. $250,000 dollars in federal seat belt funding from the National Traffic Safety Administration paid for the mobile version of MI Drive. M–DOT added it because of driver requests.
If you want to check out MI Drive for yourself, you can find it online at www.michigan.gov/drive.
