Deer on the Move

The 2011 firearm deer season is just three weeks away.

and while some hunters have already bagged a buck with their bows, there is a good number of motorists who have had less favorable results: by accidentally getting a deer with a vehicle..

As we move into fall the number of deer on the move is on the rise.

As a result the number of drivers hitting deer has increased and seems to be a daily occurrence in the U.P.

However it is not always the car that hits the deer.

While it is important to remain vigilant of deer while driving, remember that it is always better to just hit the deer rather than swerving to avoid it because that could result in going off the road or rolling over.
