MARQUETTE — On Monday, December 17, 2018, the Rotary Club of Marquette hosted their annual Christmas party at the Holiday Inn in Marquette.

Members, former members, and spouses of members came together to enjoy each other’s company, have lunch, hand out awards and donate money.

Each year, the Rotary Club is committed and excited to help the community with their service.

“It makes us feel wonderful. Rotary’s motto is service above self and we think recognizing people who are serving the community is part of that” said Marquette Rotary Club’s President, Judd Spray. “We will be giving away donations to the JJ Packs, which is the meal program, and to the Y.”

The fundraising for the donations come from the Rotary Club’s annual golf outing in the summer, their Super Bowl pancake breakfast in the winter as well as donations from members.

In total, over $23,000 was given in donations to JJ Packs and the YMCA of Marquette.
