Copper Country Christian soccer wins U-P division II championship

NEGAUNEE — After 15 years, Copper Country Christain is Division II U-P soccer champions.

After Marquette JV won the first game between Negaunee and CCCS defeated the Sault Ste Marie Blue Devils, the two teams played in game three. CCCS won 3-1 to advance to the championship game against Sault Ste Marie.

In the Championship game, the Blue Devils jumped out to a 2-0 lead early. CCCS would tie the game at two before halftime, thanks to Noah Bach and Colby Balyo.

Great Defensive battle for 27 minutes in the second half before a Noah Bach penalty kick score. That was the last score of the game that sealed the win for CCCS.
